Arrivedlate, is a Toronto-based illustrator known for her vibrant and evocative visual narratives. “Midnight” is a captivating show that invites viewers to delve into a fantastical nocturnal realm where emotions & dreams intertwine.
Arrivedlate’s distinctive style blends rich, colorful aesthetics with a sense of nostalgia, fantasy, & emotional empowerment. Her artwork, often akin cinematic stills, blurs the lines between dream & reality, encouraging an immersive experience of self-reflection. Influenced by the romanticism of City-Pop & the eclectic sounds of Future-Funk, Vaporwave, & related genres, her bold line work & retro-inspired visuals create a unique narrative space that resonates with contemporary audiences.
The “Midnight” series is an expansion to her 2021 piece, “Night Rider.” Building on this foundation, the new collection introduces fresh characters & narratives, each illuminated by the mystical allure of the night. Themes of love, friendship, & cherished memories are explored with a playful touch, inviting viewers to embark on a journey through a nocturnal landscape where every corner holds a new revelation.
